(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour praised Iran for its sincere support for the resistance front as well as the Syrian people and government against the interference of certain foreign countries.

"In 2006 in Lebanon and during the war between Lebanon and Israel and also in the war between Gaza and Israel we realized how sincerely Iran stood beside these resistances," said Mansour, who has traveled to Tehran to attend the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit on Monday.

"Iran is also today standing beside Syria," he said, and added, "Today Iran is siding with the Syrian government and people against foreign interference as we see some states are having blatant interference," he added.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari also underlined Iran's key role in the resistance front against the Zionist regime of Israel.

"The Iranian nation has always been a pioneer in resistance and showing the world and Muslims its animosity towards Israel," said Jafari on the sidelines of a rally in Tehran on the occasion of the International Quds Day.

He stressed that Iran will continue its pioneering role in future.

"The flag of Islam and the Islamic Revolution is in the Iranian nation's hand forever and it is always being promoted…"
